• Jewel recently completed a stint as host of Nashville Star and was a presenter on the CMA Awards show with boyfriend and rodeo champion Ty Murray on November 7, 2007.

• Jewel founded Project Clean Water in 1997. It is a non-profit charity foundation that is working to improve the quality of life for millions of people, by helping to provide clean water on a global scale. To date, Project Clean Water has helped communities in 13 different countries on 5 different continents.

• Jewel recently become an Ambassador for Virgin Unite, the entrepreneurial, non-profit foundation of Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group that helps tackle environmental and social issues.
