May 30, 2006--Miranda Lambert hung out recently with her new tour mate George Strait and his wife Norma. So what do they chat about? "We never talked about music," Miranda tells the San Antonio News. "We talked about hunting and fishing. When you're in the same room with him, you don't feel like you're with George Strait because when he's not on stage he's a regular guy—a real sweetheart." That’s not to say that the newcomer is blasé about being on tour with George. "To me, George Strait is the biggest you can get, the biggest in country music and a living legend," she said. "So for a new artist to be on tour with George Strait, you're automatically accepted because if George thinks you're good, then everybody accepts you." Miranda is playing dates with George and also Tracy Lawrence through the summer.
