March 19, 2007 — Last week Jack Ingram was in the middle of a photo shoot in New York City for his upcoming album, This Is It, when he received an urgent phone call. Rascal Flatts' lead singer, Gary LeVox, had contracted an acute case of bronchitis and the band had to cancel their performance at the Houston Rodeo Show...could Jack fill in?

Minutes later, Jack was racing to catch a private jet to get him to the Rodeo on time. Meanwhile, Jack's band and crew, also responded instantly. Split equally between Dallas and Austin, they all jumped into their vehicles and headed for Houston immediately.

Once in Houston, Jack was rushed from the airport, through the city, and into Reliant Stadium just moments before walking on stage to 70,000 screaming fans. Pinch-hitting that night alongside him were Joe Nichols and Clay Walker.

After spending much of last year on the road (with headliners Sheryl Crow, Brooks & Dunn and Gary Allan), Jack will take off again in April on Brad Paisley's "Bonfires and Amplifiers" tour, which will extend through the summer.
