March 23, 2007 — Trace Adkins recently got to see firsthand how his song, "Arlington," touched the life of a fallen soldier's mother. While Trace was in Texas last week, he met Faith Zimmerman, whose son died in Iraq. KEYE-TV/Austin reports that she told Trace what the song meant to her and gave him a bracelet engraved with her son's name.

"When I hear that song, I think of honor and respect," Faith Zimmerman says. "I don't think there is a higher honor for a service member than to be in Arlington."

Trace was deeply touched by the encounter. "To have somebody like Faith tell me this song touched her and meant something to her, it's just a reaffirmation for me that I am doing something that in some way is a benefit to society," he says.
