April 18, 2007 — Rascal Flatts is hard at work on their new album, which will be released September 25, and Jay DeMarcus says the guys are stepping it up and taking an even bigger role in the making of this record than they did on their last project with producer Dann Huff.
"We're really exploring more of what we're about as a group," Jay tells Dial-Global. "It's the first time we've delved on into it a little bit, and we got to play a whole bunch on the record and be heavily involved in the production side of things. This time around with Dann, we're much more involved. We're playing a lot more, we're writing a lot more and really trying to get to the heart and soul of what Rascal Flatts is really about."
