April 24, 2007 — Clint Black is back in the studio working on his next album for Equity Music Group, with a release date set for late fall. He has spent the past month writing new material and recently sat down with Carolina Rain's front man and labelmate, Rhean Boyer, for a writing session.

Rhean says writing with Clint was an amazing experience with the first verse flowing out immediately before hitting a wall on the second verse. "We were both deep in thought and staring at a blank page," he recalls. "I began playing around on the guitar and came up with a line. He started singing it and I heard this legendary voice singing the words we had just written together. It was an absolutely incredible experience for me."

Clint is one of the most prolific and successful songwriters in country music, having written, recorded and released more than 100 songs. His debut album set a record with five No. 1 hit singles, a feat then unprecedented in any form of music, and he has 31 self-penned Top 10 hits. This fall, he plans to kick off an intimate theater tour.
