June 4, 2007 GAC kicks off its "Superstar Summer" tonight by sponsoring "Lonestar & Friends Strike Out for the Kids," the third annual bowling party fundraiser hosted by the group to raise money and awareness for St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
GACs "Top 20 Country Countdown" cameras will roll as host Nan Kelley interviews artists and aims for a few strikes of her own. Nans interviews and a recap of scores will air on Fridays episode of "Top 20 Country Countdown."
Nan and fellow GAC hosts Suzanne Alexander and Storme Warren will join a list of stars including Troy Gentry, Keni Thomas, Jimmy Wayne, Carolina Rain, Buddy Jewell, Danielle Peck, Dusty Drake, Tracy Lawrence, Emerson Drive, Bryan White, Jimmy Olander, Jeff Bates, Trent Tomlinson, Julie Roberts, Bobby Pinson, Crystal Hunt, Darryl Worley, Little Texas, Michael Peterson, Brad Cotter, Jerrod Niemann, Amy Dalley, Tanya Tucker and Chris Young at the sold-out event at the Hermitage Lanes in Nashville from 5 to 9 p.m. CT tonight.
Fans attending the event have a chance to bowl with the artist hosting their lane, and four lucky fans will win a chance to bowl a game with an artist. A silent auction held in the bowling centers lobby will feature collectible items from some of country musics biggest stars. Each attending celebrity will receive a custom-made bowling shirt to autograph for an auction benefiting St. Judes .
