June 21, 2007 Everyone knows that golf is second only to music in the Vince Gill household, so it's natural that Vince and wife, Amy Grant, along with their six-year-old daughter, Corrina, are serving as the spokesfamily for "July Is Family Golf Month," a PGA program designed to provide a structured, yet casual opportunity for families to learn the game of golf together.
"Vince Gill and Amy Grant have always been great ambassadors for the game of golf. Now, they are sharing their passion with their daughter," said PGA of America president Brian Whitcomb. "We truly appreciate their support and know their involvement will inspire families everywhere to find PGA Professionals participating in 'July Is Family Golf Month.'"
Vince says he and Amy just recently introduced the game to their young daughter. "Corrina has had a blast every time we have taken her out and I think she's got the bug," he said. "I received some great advice from Johnny Miller that you have to make it fun for kids, and that's what we try to do."
