June 25, 2007 — Blake Shelton says his concerts are better than ever since he started performing songs from his new album, Pure BS, and he never gets tired of singing them.

"When you make an album," he told 2theadvocate.com, "eventually you go, ‘Oh, if I have to sing that song again I'm gonna kill myself.' But I don't feel that way with this record. And you gotta remember, I've been living with this album for two years almost. It took us awhile to make this record and I'm still excited about it."

Blake and his road band have been gradually adding Pure BS songs to their show. "It gives us a new energy on stage, because it's the next chapter," he said.

As for the album's title, Blake said fans can interpret it anyway they choose to. "Now that people are learning my sense of humor, they'd be disappointed if I didn't have some kind of funky album title," he said.

Pure BS includes a dream-come-true recording for Blake. He joins a pair of his music heroes, George Jones and John Anderson, for "The Last Country Song."

"Hearing George Jones and John Anderson on a record with me, that's my biggest personal accomplishment," he said.
