August 23, 2007 — LeAnn Rimes' fans have one big request for her these days — have a baby! Leann tells icebergradio.com that her fans are very vocal about the fact that they think it's high time she and her husband of five years, Dean Sheremet, expand their family.
"I have gotten so many crazy comments," she says. "People going, 'You need to have a baby!' People feel like they're like my parents or my grandparents or my brother or sister, and they're like, 'You've been waiting too long. We've been waiting on you to announce that.' And I'm like, 'Hold on a second — what?' It's so funny, the comments that I get from people."
Leann adds that while she wants to be a mother, she tells her fans that now is not necessarily the right time. "When it happens, it happens. A lot of them sound like my mom. They're like, 'When is it gonna happen?' My mom's always asking that. When life slows down a little — that's when it's meant to be."
LeAnn's new album, appropriately titled Family, is scheduled for release on October 9. In the meantime, she continues to tour, with dates on the books through mid-October.
