January 10, 2008 — Mark Chesnutt admits that he went into the studio to record his remake of the Charlie Rich classic, "Rollin' With The Flow," just to get his people off his back. Now that he's returned to the country charts as the song enters the Top 30 this week, he's real glad they were on his back after all.

"I said, 'Alright, I'll try it,' especially to shut people up," says Mark, who's done a number of cover songs before. "We started tracking the song and the band was doing such a great job, and it was so smooth and so easy."

Mark tells Dial-Global that the song just came out natural, and the idea behind "Rollin' With The Flow" fits him personally now. "I thought, 'Man, you know what? This song is just right for me.' Ten, 12 years ago, it wouldn't have been right for me, but now after 17 years in the business and trying to keep the home fires burning, trying to be a dad, a husband and a country singer, I kinda got it all figured out now."
