May 16, 2008 — Having established a toe-hold on the national scene through "Dancing With The Stars," Julianne Hough has a hit with her first single, "That Song In My Head," and she’ll chat tonight with Nan Kelley on GAC’s "Top 20 Country Countdown."
It’s good timing — "That Song" is currently at No. 8 on the countdown and Julianne’s self-titled debut album comes out Tuesday. She believes it will help round out the public’s perception of her as a person and entertainer.
"As far as the album goes, we wanted to do something really organic and under-produced," she says. "I feel like we’ve done that, and it really shows my personality. A lot of people, from ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ they know me as being a dancer. I really feel like people are going to see this new side of me, which is really who I am, so I’m excited."

A new countdown premieres every Friday at 8 p.m. ET on GAC and airs again Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. ET; Sundays at 1 p.m. ET; and Mondays at 10 a.m. ET.
