May 28, 2008 More than 25 country stars, Tennessee Titans and GACs own Nan Kelley are on the final rosters for the 18th annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge, set for next Wednesday in Nashville.
Its Carrie Underwood vs. Jo Dee Messina. Joe Nichols vs. Luke Bryan. Phil Vassar vs. Chuck Wicks.
Set for noon at Greer Stadium the home of the Milwaukee Brewers AAA farm club, the Nashville Sounds the game pits an Opry Live team against After MidNite With Blair Garner, with receipts from the $18 tickets earmarked for the California cancer hospital City of Hope.
The Opry Live club includes Luke, Carrie, Phil and Nan, plus Chris Cagle, Danielle Peck, Emily West, Vince Gill and four members of the Tennessee Titans football team: Kyle Vanden Bosch, Cortland Finnegan, Rob Bironas and Daniel Loper.
After MidNite With Blair Garner will field Jo Dee, Joe and Chuck, as well as Jake Owen, Hollywood Yates, James Otto, Adam Gregory, Keith Anderson, Montgomery Gentry, Sara Evans and Randy Houser with two Titans players: Donnie Nickey and Brandon Jones.
The June 4 game arrives the day before the official start of the CMA Music Festival, June 5-8. Tickets can be purchased at ticketmaster.com.
