June 17, 2008 — Faith Hill has released the track list for her upcoming Christmas album, and it’s dominated by classic songs that play on the themes of Santa Claus and the holiday’s religious foundation.

Joy To The World will feature such traditional Christmas hymns as the title track, "What Child Is This," "Away In A Manger" and "Silent Night," plus the secular classics "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" and "Winter Wonderland," as well as a cover of the Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer standard "Holly Jolly Christmas." In addition, the CD will introduce "A Baby Changes Everything," written by "Live Like You Were Dying" authors Tim Nichols and Craig Wiseman with Craig’s wife, KK Wiseman.

"I had a very clear vision for the type of Christmas album that I wanted to make, indicative of the big-band orchestras of the ‘40s and ‘50s, with a full complement of horns, strings, woodwinds, percussion and chorales," Faith says. "David [Campbell]’s orchestrations were a gift. They embodied everything that I could have imagined: unique and beautiful, and yet they seem as though they were always intended for these songs."

Produced by Faith with Dan Huff and Byron Gallimore, the album will be released Sept. 16. The full track list follows:
• "Joy To The World"
• "What Child Is This"
