Lady Antebellum Sneaks In On GAC’s Top 20

July 18, 2008 — Lady Antebellum is off to a huge career start this year, having won the Academy of Country Music award for Top New Vocal Duo or Group. The band’s second single, "Lookin’ For A Good Time," edges on to GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown this week, arriving at No. 20 on the show, hosted by Nan Kelley.

Consisting of Charles Kelley (no relation to Nan), Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood, Lady A had a stunning debut with their first single, "Love Don’t Live Here," and the group’s first album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country albums chart. The group isn’t the only new entry on this week’s countdown; Brad Paisley’s "Waitin’ On A Woman" video, with a guest appearance by Andy Griffith, checks in at No. 14. It gives Brad two videos in the Top 20, since "I’m Still A Guy" remains at No. 16.
