Sept. 17, 2008 In a rather strange mix of personalities, Toby Keith and Willie Nelson are on board with rock legend Elvis Costello and R&B singer John Legend for a holiday special that debuts on Comedy Central in November, "A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All!"
Hosted by Stephen Colbert, the one-hour program debuts Nov. 23 and will appear on DVD just two days later. The premise of the show finds the satirical Colbert on his way to spend the holidays with Elvis, only to get snowed in in upstate New York. Somehow the special erupts into a musical. Toby performs "Have I Got A Present For You"; Willie duets with Colbert on "Little Dealer Boy"; and Toby, Willie, Colbert, Elvis, Feist and John Legend all team up on the Costello chestnut "(Whats So Funny Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding."
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Feeding America, formerly known as the Americas Second Harvest.
