Oct. 31, 2008 — The news channels are obsessed with Tuesday’s election, but Barack Obama and John McCain are not the only national figures with their futures riding on Election Day events.

Brad Paisley’s new album, Play, is set for release the same day, aided by his most prominent running mate, Keith Urban, who joined Brad on the CD’s first single, "Start A Band."

Brad is shamelessly courting every vote — or, more precisely, sale — he can generate from the citizenry.

"As far as Rock The Vote goes, this is more like Country The Vote," he winks. "They always are tryin’ to get people to go out and vote, and that’d be great. I think they probably ought to go out and vote, but twice as important as that is probably buying this record. If you want this country to be in good hands, buy my record. That’s the change we need, ladies and gentlemen. Buy this instrumental record."

Supporting Brad’s campaign are Vince Gill, B.B. King, Steve Wariner and former Desert Rose Band guitarist John Jorgenson, all of whom make guest appearances on Play.
