Nov. 20, 2008 — Randy Houser released his debut album on Tuesday, and he titled the project after his current single, "Anything Goes."

That song is shrouded in loneliness and regret, but it’s just one of the numerous emotions Randy tried to convey on the album, perhaps better than he does in his personal life.

"A lot of times as a songwriter, we’re not good at saying it," he told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "We’re a whole lot better singing it or putting it in song form. And so when you listen to this record, you’ll hear the silly side of me, you’ll hear the hurt side of me, you’ll hear the fun side and the go-have-fun-and-party side. So I think we’ve got all the elements covered."

As serious as "Anything Goes" is, Randy’s first major hit had a completely different tone. That one came as a songwriter: Randy was a co-writer of the Trace Adkins single "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk."
