Nov. 26, 2008 Faith Hills husband, Tim McGraw, has a new movie out this weekend as Four Christmases opens Wednesday, and she suggests itll be a great way to get a little comic relief during the holiday season.
"You will be on the floor laughing," she promised on the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "It is so funny. It really is."
Not so funny was the doubt that Tim harbored before production began in January. Faith made her own silver-screen appearance in the 2004 remake of The Stepford Wives, so she knows a little something about movie-making, and she made a point to show support.
"He was terrified to do a comedy," she said. "For me, I really wanna do a comedy. Thats my personality. It would be like breathing for me. But he says, I dont wanna do this. Im scared. I dont wanna do comedy. I said, You have to do comedy. Just the script alone I was on the floor reading it. And then when he got in and started filming the movie, he was great. And I think he surprised himself. That he could actually be really funny."
Nevertheless, Faith cautions that parents should use a little judgment in deciding whether their kids are ready for the movie.
"Its kinda raunchy," she conceded. "Im not sure you wanna take your kids to see it. [Its OK] for older kids, but not your six-year-old thats gonna repeat everything."
Joining Tim in the Four Christmases cast are Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek, Jon Voight, Mary Steenburgen, Vince Vaughn, Reese Witherspoon and Dwight Yoakam.
