Dec. 2, 2008 — Christmas is a giving season, and Rascal Flatts is hoping their participation will net funds for a couple of worthy charities in online auctions being run on eBay.

The trio signed a copy of its Still Feels Good album and a photo for a Grammy auction that benefits the Recording Academy’s MusiCares foundation. The effort, which runs through Dec. 11, also features memorabilia signed by Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Kix Brooks, John Mayer, Keith Richards and the hosts of "Nashville Star": John Rich, Jewel and Jeffrey Steele.

Rascal Flatts is also participating in the second annual Paper Doll Project with the proceeds slated for one of the band’s favorite beneficiaries, the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Their angel goes up for bids on Wednesday, along with contributions from Trace Adkins, Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson and Carrie Underwood.

Their paper doll — actually made of wood — is actually part of the second wave of signed dolls. Already in the auction are pieces from Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Merle Haggard, Lady Antebellum, Jessica Simpson and Brad Paisley. On Dec. 10, yet another group of paper dolls will be unveiled from Jimmy Buffett, Faith Hill, Jewel, George Jones, Willie Nelson, George Strait and Wynonna.

The two auctions can be accessed at www.ebay.com/grammy and www.ebay.com/paperdolls.
