Dec. 31, 2008 — Julianne Hough is the headliner for the annual New Year’s Eve Peach Drop in Atlanta, so it should come as no surprise that boyfriend Chuck Wicks will likewise welcome 2009 in Georgia’s capital, even if it is in a supporting role.

"I think we’re gonna ride a bus down there, then do the show, and party the entire way back to Nashville," Chuck told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "We don’t have to drive."

Of course, the ever-sarcastic Mr. Wicks couldn’t really stop there when explaining the couple’s plans. The economy’s tough, and — as Jay Leno can attest — that’s always good for a joke.

"Actually," Chuck continued, "I don’t have to drive. Julianne’s gonna drive the bus. Yeah, we gotta save on money, budgets and stuff. We gotta put a little stick, though, on the bottom of her foot, because she’s shorter. She can’t reach the pedals. That’s gonna be entertaining. We don’t even have to drink. We just get to watch her drive a bus. That’s fun!"

Julianne won’t be the only country woman on the premises in Atlanta. The Peach Drop will be hosted by Rissi Palmer.
