June 25, 2009 — Jason Aldean is three for three. Wide Open, his third album, has been certified gold — as were his previous two CDs, Jason Aldean and Relentless.

Paced by his punchy single, "She’s Country," Jason reached the gold mark in just 10 weeks with Wide Open, the fastest he’s hit that plateau in his career. "She’s Country" was likewise awarded a gold single.

The follow-up single, "Big Green Tractor," is already at No. 23 on the Country Aircheck charts as Jason continues to solidify his growing star status. He’s now headlining his own shows, and he’s feeling the change even as he moves through some of the more mundane parts of his life.

"You go from basically nobody knowing who you are or even caring," he told The Dothan Eagle, "then a couple months later you go to the mall and everybody starts freaking out and you’re looking around, ‘What’s going on? Who’s here?’ It’s a great problem to have."

Jason’s in good company with other stars this weekend, according to Pollstar. He plays Friday at Country Jam USA in Grand Junction, Colo., with Big & Rich, Phil Vassar and Cross Canadian Ragweed. Sunday he does the Chippewa Valley Country Festival in Wisconsin with George Strait, Jimmy Wayne, Keith Anderson and Julianne Hough. And Monday he shares the stage with Jamey Johnson at the Muskegon Summer Celebration in Michigan.
