Tyler Barham resides in Florence, Mont. and was named the "Montana Idol" in February 2008. He has aspired to be a professional country singer since he was nine years old. A recent high-school graduate, he hopes to leave his current job at Hot Stuff Pizza and head to Nashville. Tyler dreams of walking in the footsteps of leading music inspiration Garth Brooks.

I first knew I wanted to be a singer? When I was 9 years old I was singing in the car with my mom and brother and that's when I decided.

Greatest strength: Probably my range and being able to sing like most current country artists. But it's also my weakness because I need to find my own voice.

Competitive edge:I'm young, talented, and ready to do whatever it takes to become "The Next GAC Star!"

Ultimate goal: To become well-known and to have a successful career in the music industry. Also to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.

Inspired by: I don't do much songwriting, but I try sometimes and just everything I've been through in my life inspires me to write.

What one thing about you would surprise GAC viewers? I'm in a bowling league.

What do you do for fun? I hunt, fish, play basketball, bowl, watch movies.

What makes you laugh? Comedians such as Rodney Carrington, Dane Cook, Larry the Cable Guy

Greatest triumph of your life: Well up until this competition it was when I won Montana Idol and won an all expense paid trip to California to watch the top 12 show of American Idol.

What makes you cry? I don't cry much unless I get hurt severely or unless it's a really sad movie which I've only done once.

What's the greatest personal hurdle you've overcome in life? Financial problems in my family and my parent's divorce

Why do you want to win the title, "The Next GAC Star"? Because it has always been a dream of mine to become a famous country singer and to have this opportunity to be in this competition has given me that closest feeling to achieving my dream.
