July 18, 2007 — Reba McEntire and her good friend, Kelly Clarkson have a big hit with their duet, "Because of You." Dial-Global reports that while on Music Row yesterday to promote her upcoming Reba Duets album, Reba shared that the song wasn't their original pick for the project.

"The first time I sang it with her touched my heart in a way I haven't had a song touch my heart in a long time," Reba said. "Narvel [Reba's husband] saw it. That wasn't one of the songs we had talked about recording — matter of fact, Kelly and I had already recorded a song, "A Lot Like You," for the duet project, and he said, 'You've got to do this one together,' so we did. Loved it so much we selected it as the first single. I'm not really surprised that it's a huge success because it was a huge success as a single for her in the pop world."

"Because of You" is about to soar into the Top 10 on the country charts, and it already has fans anticipating Reba's new CD that will hit stores September 18.
