Different Things
(John Ramey, Brice Long, Bobby Taylor)

"It's a great song. It's another song Mike Geiger, my co-producer, brought to
the project. It reminded me a lot of myself. What I want and what I need have always been different things it seems like. I think a lot of people feel that way and I think it's an incredible song. It mentions God in there which I always like to hear in a song because I'm a spiritual person and believe in the Lord. This is one of those songs that hit me
really hard."

The More I Feel Like Rockin'
(Mark Nesler, Tony Martin, Jim Collins)

"That's how I feel lately and I think there are a lot of folks out there like myself. It's a song written by Mark Nesler and Tony Martin and it's a killer up-tempo. It sounds like a hit. In the country music business, it seems like it's getting younger and younger. It's a
young man's game but I believe there are a lot of folks out there who have a lot more talent than the young ones. It hit me as what I've been thinking all along about – I'm in the best shape of my life and doing the best work and I feel like rockin'. So there you go!"

She Was Smart
(Tracy Byrd, Mark Nesler, Tony Martin)

"Everybody is saying 'Wow it's got a Tom Petty feel to it. It's kind of cool.' That tells me that we're going in the right direction and doing a few different things. I wrote with Mark Nesler and Tony Martin in 2004, so I've been holding onto it until I could cut it. It's a great up-tempo with a rockin' edge to it. I've been doing it in the show and they've
loved this thing for about a year now. That was a no-brainer for the record."

A Cowboy and a Dancer
(Kevin Denny, John Edwards)

"It's really probably very close to being my favorite song on the record. It tells a great story and is a great love song. It leads you through this little journey. You could close your eyes and listen to it and it's like a movie rolling in your mind. I'm glad we were able to get a hold of it. It was almost a George Strait song from what I understand. He took it in the studio and it didn't get cut, so we were lucky. It would definitely make an incredible video and would make a great movie."

The Biggest Thing in Texas
(Mike Geiger, Woody Mullis, Phyllis Austin)

"We haven't put a swing song a record in about three or four albums, so I'm glad to get back to that because it's something that I've always loved. 'The Biggest Thing In Texas' was actually co-written by Mike Geiger, my co-producer and a friend of his. It's really
everything a Texan wants to say. We've always been a little bit overly-proud of ourselves."

Just One Woman
(John Ramey)
"This was the first song we recorded, which I think is just an incredible song, a very well-written song. John Ramey wrote this one all by himself and we were lucky to get a hold of it. It's a beautiful love song and it's coming from a really different direction. It's about an older man that never did have a whole lot of women. He just had one girl that he loved all his life and married her. She passed away and he knows that someday he'll be up there
with her and he'll still be loving just one woman. It's a very great message and beautiful song."

Saltwater Cowboy
(Phil O'Donnell, Cyril Rawson, Ron Harbin)
"This is a song that blew me away. I love this thing! Everyone knows I'm a cowboy and they've called me this at times down on the beach on my boat when I have my cowboy hat on. I've been called a 'Saltwater Cowboy.' I have a beach house down on the Gulf of
Mexico and this song sounds like I wrote it. It's a really fun song and I think it will play well in Texas."

Cheapest Motel
(Cole Deggs, Mike Geiger, Trey Matthews)

"It's real country. It's a cheatin' song and a lot of people tell us, 'You are taking a chance with that single.' Yeah, we are, but the first time I heard it the hair stood up on the back of my neck and I got chill bumps down my spine. I thought was a great song and I believe that. I'm just going on that instead of going on research. I'm going for broke. I'm rolling the dice and thinking if we can get this thing played, people are going to feel and react to it on radio like I did when I first heard it."

Better Places Than This
(Mike Geiger, Michael Huffman,Woody Mullis)

"This was the second one we cut and it was written by my coproducer Mike Geiger. It's one of those that is in that 'Ten Rounds With Jose Quervo' kind of vein. It's a party kind of a song, about a guy getting thrown out of a bar, but it doesn't bother him because he'd been thrown out of the house by his wife and that was worse. So, he's been thrown out of better places than this. It's a real fun song and we've already been doing in the show and it's getting a really great response with it."

Before I Die
(Woody Mullis, Trey Matthews)

"I've had this song on hold for two years before we got this deal and was able to cut it and I'm thankful to be able to hold a song that good for so long. It's an everybody song. I think everyone can identify with some part of this – man, woman, or child. Anybody could listen to it and be moved by it because everybody has their regrets, things they want to change. I really think that anybody could connect with that song. I believe that this song is a hit and I hope we get a chance to prove that. That's one thing about this record, we have several singles. So we'll have to really pick and choose with what we go with which is a good problem to have."

Hot Night in the Country
(Tracy Byrd, Mark Nesler, Tony Martin)
"This is a song I wrote with Mark Nesler and Tony Martin. We wrote this one in probably 2003. I just held onto it. It's kind of a sexy song about a lot of heat, sweat and unbuttoned blouses and that sort of thing."
