This upscale business hotel is housed in a swank 11-story high-rise across the street from the campus of Vanderbilt University in Nashville's West End district, a mile and a half from downtown attractions. Also nearby are the record companies and recording studios of Music Row, making the Loews a great place for celebrity sightings of country artists staying or dining at the property. If you don't happen to spot your favorite country star chowing down at Ruth's Chris Steak House (www.ruthschris.com) on the lower level, check out the jukebox in the lobby stocked with songs recorded by past guests.
First opened in 1984 and significantly renovated in 2000, the Loews has 340 well-appointed rooms and suites, including three floors of executive-class rooms with a separate lounge. The hotel also offers extensive meeting and event facilities, two restaurants and an indoor lounge with live entertainment nightly.
Double rates typically fall in the $200 to $300 range, though promotional are sometimes available via the Loews website.
