Meet "The Next GAC Star" Finalist Angela Engelman

Congratulations to all of "The Next GAC Star" finalists! Now that they've been chosen, we thought you'd like to know a little bit about them.

Meet Angela Engelman:


Angela Engelman, 23, describes her personal style of music as "southern soul," because of her love for both country and gospel music. Raised in a small town outside of Nashville, Tenn., she has been writing her own songs for eight years after her mom began buying her journals. A performer since the age of two, she says music is more than her dream, it is her passion and she is blessed to share it with anyone listening.

First public performance: Talent show in elementary school.

I first knew I wanted to be a singer? Well, I sang my first song at 18 months, so pretty much from then on?

Dream singing partner: Not sure. It changes with my mood.
