Getting To Know Eric Church

May 16, 2006--Eric Church's debut single has drawn some noticeable attention from country radio and fans alike, and for this newcomer, it's all about giving everyone a chance to get to know him through his single "How 'Bout You". "This song - the first line of this song is 'I know where I come from, how 'bout you?' and that line alone is the reason I wanted this song to be the first single. I said to the label, 'I don't know if this is a big hit, I have no idea,' I just think it's important to me to let these people know who I am. And luckily it's turned out to be a pretty big hit, so I just happened to get lucky on that side of it, but I think it's important for people to know who I am, where I'm from, what I believe, so they can go ahead and attach me to this, you know, this is who this guy is." "How 'Bout You" will be on Eric's debut album, Sinners Like Me, which hits stores July 18.
