The Wreckers Love Getting Inked

June 6, 2006--According to the booklet for their debut CD, Stand Still–Look Pretty, Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp of The Wreckers enjoy making music, smoking, and getting tattoos. They recently talked to X Radio about their love for the ancient art. "Actually, both of our first tattoos are music notes on our shoulders and we didn’t even know each other then," says Jessica.

"When we first met," says Michelle, "she was wearing a tank top. I said, 'Is that a music note on your shoulder blade?' She said, 'Yeah,' and I said, 'You're not going to believe this, I have the same exact tattoo.' So that was kinda our first tattoo experience. Jess was on the road with me for a really long time [singing backup on Michelle's solo tour]. We’d get bored in some city, and just walk into a tattoo shop and go to town."
