Jack Ingram Thankful For No. 1 Record

June 28, 2006--Jack Ingram celebrated his recent No. 1, "Wherever You Are," at a roof-top party in Nashville with burritos, margaritas--and a huge serving of gratitude. "I really want people to know how much I appreciate what they did," he tells X Radio. "There are a lot of people who don’t get paid to do anything for me who helped wave the flag of Jack Ingram when I didn’t even have a record deal. And now that it actually happened, I’m trying to stay present and thank people along the way. Having a No. 1 is a cool place to be for awhile, but it's not the end goal of where I wanna be in my life. I wanna make good music and keep good relationships going. This is a time to go, 'Hey, now that you’re all in one room, thank you very much.'"
