July 11, 2006--Blake Shelton’s first annual "Raindance!" benefit May 14-16 in his hometown of Ada, Oklahoma was a raging success, raising $108,000 for the victims of the state’s debilitating drought and subsequent wildfires. The three-day charity event featured a team roping competition, an archery competition, a silent auction, and a sold-out, star-studded concert by Shelton and pals Andy Griggs, Tracy Byrd, and fellow Oklahoma-native Keith Anderson. Over 3,300 people attended the show. According to Blake's record label, Warner Bros., "Raindance!" 2007 is already in the works.
