July 27, 2006--LeAnn Rimes was on Music Row yesterday for a party to celebrate the chart-topping success of "Something’s Gotta Give." She joked to X Radio that it was only the second No. 1 of her 10-year career. "My husband Dean asked me why I was getting so dressed up for the party today and I said, ‘Well, it only happens every decade, so I might as well.’"

When asked what made this No. 1 special to her, LeAnn commented, "I think it’s come a time in my life now that I’m growing into both an artist and a woman. It’s exciting to have a No. 1 on those terms, and not as a kid anymore. 'One Way Ticket' was a great No. 1, but it’s time to have one on my own terms, with my own kind of music, the music that I’m wanting to make--and that’s what makes this one stand out."

LeAnn claims that she knew all along this song would be a hit. "Oh, I knew it was a No. 1 song, absolutely. It’s just so infectious. People cannot get it out of their head. And I knew so many people would be able to relate to it. When you have the majority of radio listeners that are middle-aged women, it’s like, god, it’s perfect."
