August 11, 2006--Montgomery Gentry will release a new album, Some People Change, October 17 on Columbia Nashvilletheir fifth studio album for the label. Fans can expect a deeper exploration of the issues Eddie Montgomery & Troy Gentry have always sung about--family, religion and the U.S. Armed Forces.
The albums title track & first single introduces the theme of having faith in the potential of others and has becoming the dynamic duos fastest-rising track at radio ever. Some People Change showcases Eddie's and Troy's foray into songwriting, too, with the songs "It Takes All Kinds" and "If You Wanna Keep an Angel," co-written by Troy Gentry; along with Eddies contribution to "A Mans Job" as well as the achingly heartfelt ballad, "Clouds."
Veteran Mark Wright (Gretchen Wilson, Brooks & Dunn, Los Lonely Boys) co-produced two of the albums 12 tracks with Eddie and Troy and shared production credit with Rivers Rutherford and Jeffrey Steele on the remaining songs.
"Their track record speaks for itself, yet whats most important is that they completely get us," says Eddie.
"Together, we were able to write about our childhood, maturing and reflecting on where weve come from, with ease," adds Troy.
To support the release, Montgomery Gentry will take to the road on October 12, on a GAC-sponsored tour, which includes ticket giveaways in each city and Montgomery Gentry Tailgate Parties in four select cities.
"Our fans love the live shows as much as we do," says Eddie. "When the music hits and the lights come on, theyre all the same--rednecking and ready to have a good time."
