September 5, 2006--Lari White is more than just a singer/songwriter, gold-selling artist, stage and screen actress (Lari was in the Tom Hanks movie Cast Away and the Broadway Johnny Cash musical "Ring of Fire"), and co-producer of Toby Keith's latest album. She's now also about to become a member of the "I've played Carnegie Hall" club.

The Tennessean reports that Lari will perform at the famed concert venue on November 1 to honor songwriters Alan and Marilyn Bergman. "They wrote 'The Way We Were' and 'Yentl' and 'How Do You Keep the Music Playing,'" Lari says. "They are legends." (In addition to penning classics, Marilyn also runs ASCAP.)

"I am so excited, but of course I am also nervous, in the best possible way," says Lari. "It is epic, pinnacle to play Carnegie Hall. You dream and fantasize about those moments."
