November 29, 2006—The 54th Annual Nashville Gas Christmas Parade will take place on Friday, December 1 at 7 p.m., with Lorrie Morgan serving as Grand Marshall. The parade is a long-standing Nashville tradition that ushers in the holiday season each year.

In addition to Lorrie, this year’s parade features a multitude of marching bands, holiday floats and, of course, Santa himself. The route begins at 7th and Broadway, heads east to 2nd Avenue, crosses over the Woodland Street Bridge and ends at LP Field.

"This year's parade will be an exciting event as we continue the new tradition of hosting a night parade," said Pam Thomas, Community Relations Manager, Nashville Gas. "We have received a lot of interest from the community for this year's parade and believe it could be the most successful parade in our history."
