January 30, 2007 — Phil Vassar is taking a "less is more" approach to touring these days. For a change of pace, he recently booked a weekend of acoustic shows, leaving the band at home, but the results were no less impressive.

Phil rang up consecutive sellouts in Annapolis, Md., Harrisburg, Pa., and Atlantic City, N.J., earlier this month, packing theaters to capacity. Although he can put on a rollicking live show, Phil is also known for his skill on the piano and has been one of country music's most successful songwriters for more than a decade. His latest Arista release Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 landed on several Top 10 of 2006 lists, and the disc's number 1 single "Last Day of My Life" was the fastest rising chart-topper of his career.

Phil is currently working on a new studio album, due for release this year. He also has a full schedule of shows set for February, beginning in Valdosta, Ga., on Saturday and finishing with club dates in Chicago near the end of the month.
