VH1 Predicts Grammys for Carrie Underwood

February 2, 2007 — With the Grammy awards coming up on February 11, VH1 has conducted its fifth annual Grammy poll to predict the results. Respondents in the poll singled out Carrie Underwood as Best New Artist and predicted that her hit "Jesus, Take the Wheel" will win the award for Song of the Year.

Rick Krim of VH1, said, "I don't think anyone could have predicted just how big Carrie Underwood would be with her debut album. The promotional power of 'American Idol' cannot be denied, but Carrie also delivered a vocally strong album with a number of great songs that connected with country music fans around the country."
