February 14, 2007 — John Anderson's much-anticipated new album, Easy Money, is set to hit stores on May 15. His current single, "A Woman Knows," has just been released to radio, and the accompanying video is due later this month.

John took his 27th studio release in an altogether new direction by inviting John Rich of Big & Rich to sit in the producer's chair, marking the first time in his career that he didn't take part in producing one of his own albums.

"I've got production credit on 26 different albums," John says, "so I don't have anything to prove; I think I can make a John Anderson record. But this one is special on account of I just let John go for it. It was really great watching him work and one of the most pleasurable times I've ever had making a record."

John Rich put his songwriting chops to work on Easy Money's "Funky Country," and "I Can't Make Her Cry Anymore," which he co-wrote with John Anderson. He also has previous production credits on albums by Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy, James Otto and Shannon Brown.

John Rich calls John Anderson his "honky-tonk hero." Since working on the album together, the pair has become inseparable, and John Anderson was recently inducted into the MuzikMafia, of which John Rich is a Godfather. The two will next appear together at the ASCAP KCRS Live! Showcase at this year's Country Radio Seminar (CRS-38) on February 28.
