March 1, 2007 According to Nielsen SoundScan, Rascal Flatts has seen two digital tracks pass the million mark for paid downloads. In the last two weeks, "What Hurts the Most" and "Life Is a Highway" have both registered sales in excess of one million, making Rascal Flatts the first country artist to have two songs reach this level.
The band has seen a busy start to 2007 with the kickoff of the "Me and My Gang 2007" tour and recording for their upcoming album. Gary, Jay and Joe Don were most recently in the Los Angeles area shooting the video for their latest single, "Stand," with director Shaun Silva.
Rascal Flatts has scanned more than 13.8 million units through traditional brick-and-mortar and online retail outlets. Me and My Gang and Feels Like Today are each certified quadruple platinum for sales of more than 4 million units, while Rascal Flatts and Melt are both certified double platinum. Me and My Gang, released in April 2006, remains the biggest debut of last year.
