March 7, 2007 — The first record label Danielle Peck ever sang for was her own imaginary one. Danielle tells The Appalachian News-Express that when she was young she actually recorded cassettes for the Danielle Peck record label while she was in school instead of paying attention to her teacher. "I never wanted to do anything else," she says. "There was no backup plan."

Now Danielle has gone from covering Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood and Patsy Cline songs in bars to having girls sing her songs at karaoke. Her best advice to others who share her dream is to "stay focused." She says, "You have your ups and downs, but if it's what you really want, never stop."
