Jack Ingram's Career & Family Growing

March 8, 2007 — Jack Ingram surprised the crowd at a Nashville club over the weekend when Sheryl Crow joined him onstage midway through "Hold On," a song she and Jack recorded for his new album, This Is It. She returned during Jack's encore to duet with him on her hit, "If It Makes You Happy." The two previously recorded their live version of the song, which fans can purchase on iTunes with proceeds benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

As the demands of Jack Ingram's career continue to grow, so does his family. Last summer, Jack and his wife Amy welcomed their third child, Hudson. He joined Eli, 2 years old, and Ava, 4.

"He's just a gorgeous little boy," Jack tells Dial-Global. "He's the third one, and I was the baby as well, and it's just fun to ignore him while I'm trying to take care of the other kids, just like happened to me," he jokes. "No, I miss him dearly. I've had a lot of fun with him. When my wife had Eli, our second child, I was home for the entire two months after that, so this is a much different experience, but a great one, nonetheless."

Jack says all of the kids are great, but he's quick to point out who is really responsible for that. "I can't say that I carry any of the heavy load," he says. "My wife is at home most of the time alone with three kids so all the credit goes to her. But you know, all the credit when they're good will go to her, and when they turn out rotten, it's going to be because I wasn't home so, I'm kind of in a no-win here."
