March 23, 2007 Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have donated some personal items to a new charity auction service. The company, called QLu, holds eBay auctions for items that once belonged to celebrities, with the proceeds donated to the charity of each star's choice.
Tim's leather UGG boots and snakeskin belt will be used to raise funds for the Tug McGraw Foundation and Neighbor's Keeper Foundation. Money collected for Faith's chocolate cashmere sweater from Barney's and silver Prada sandals will also benefit the Neighbor's Keeper Foundation.
Tim says he feels QLu's mission is particularly relevant. "I believe in the power of helping people in need, whether they suffer from a life-threatening disease or natural disaster," he says. "Sometimes it's easy to take for granted what I've been so blessed to have because of my success. That makes it even more important to do what I can to make a difference, and I think QLu will help achieve that goal."
