March 29, 2007 Danielle Peck enlisted the help of a few of her friends for a benefit concert for Nashville's Safe Haven Family Shelter Monday night. The sold-out event, "An Evening with Danielle Peck and Friends" included performances by Danielle and surprise guests Jo Dee Messina, Bucky Covington and Deana Carter, along with previous announced guests Blue County, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Julie Roberts, Emily West, and Keith Anderson.
"It makes me happy to have so many good friends all of whom are all so talented to help me bring people out in support of this organization," Danielle said. "Fans came from so many different places to be there, in the audience, and to support Safe Haven. It touches me deeply."
The event, which will become an annual tradition, helped kick off "Safe Haven Homeless Family Awareness Day" yesterday. Safe Haven Family Shelter assists homeless families in need with housing, food and counseling in Nashville and the middle Tennessee area.
