April 12, 2007 — Blake Shelton is a patient man whose patience is growing thin as he awaits the release of his album, Pure B.S., which should be in stores by May 1. The first single, "Don't Make Me," is in the Top 20 this week on the country charts, but Blake tells Dial-Global he's still a little antsy to get more music out to fans and radio.

"There's so many songs that I can't wait to get to that it's starting to drive me crazy," he says. "'Don't Make Me' is one of those songs that just seems like it's just gonna take forever — and it's not even gonna be till May 1st that the album comes out. I'm already ready to move on to some other things that are on the record, just because I can't wait to see how people react to them."

Blake says "Don't Make Me" reflects experiences that he's lived through. "That's why I wanted to record it," he says. "The reason that it's the first single off the album is because it's just a standout, and I just think it's a special song."
