April 27, 2007 Just in time for the highly anticipated arrival of Blake Shelton's fourth album, Pure BS, GAC presents exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the video for his hit single, "Don't Make Me."
The GAC special, "Blake Shelton Makes a Video: Don't Make Me," will air Monday, April 30 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
"'Don't Make Me' was one of those things that when everyone heard it, it was unanimous that it was a special song and kind of a new sound for me," Blake says. "It's about a guy who is going through a lot of struggles and is not sure how to handle it. That's been me in the last year and a half. I've been kind of up in down in my personal life, and a lot of that reflects in this song and the rest of the album."
The "Don't Make Me" video was one of Blake's biggest video productions to date. He and co-star Austin Highsmith act out the story line of a couple whose resulting emotions from a disagreement cause a rainstorm.
The special airs one day before Blake's album, Pure BS, hits stores. Blake says he's especially proud of the new release, because it provided an opportunity for him to grow personally and professionally.
"The future is feeling pretty exciting for me right now," he says. "I am definitely taking some risks concerning my music and my image by making a few changes, but it's been a lot of fun."
