May 31, 2007 — Dierks Bentley continues to be an innovator in the quest to reach music fans through new media strategies as he partners with the Bluebird Café and virtual community Second Life for an online performance.

Dierks will become the first country artist to stream a live performance to online residents from 100 countries around the world when he kicks off "Superstars of the Bluebird" week at the legendary Nashville venue on Monday, June 4. The Bluebird is celebrating its 25th year with a weeklong celebration beginning Monday.

"One of my biggest goals as a live entertainer is to push the boundaries and take country music to new audiences," Dierks says. "The Bluebird experience is so unique for both the listener and the performer. It's cool to have the opportunity to share that with people who have never even been to Nashville."

Dierks and co-writers Brett Beavers and Deric Ruttan ("What Was I Thinkin," "Lot of Leavin' Left to Do") will headline the sold-out 9 p.m. show with all proceeds from the evening benefiting Vanderbilt Children's' Hospital.
