June 1, 2007 — Clay Walker is living proof that with proper attention and care, people with multiple sclerosis can live out their dreams. Clay, who was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS in 1996, created the Band Against MS Foundation to fund research programs seeking a cure for the disease and to support programs for people living with MS.

On Tuesday Clay will donate 100 aluminum rolling walkers to the Lone Star Chapter National MS Society through his foundation. Clay, along with Lone Star Chapter representatives and board members, will present the walkers to people living with MS so that they can participate in the Houston-area Fall 2007 MS Walk Series taking place in September.

In addition to enabling participation in the Walk, the 100 Hugo 2.5 Rolling Walkers, valued at $17,000, will give freedom, mobility, and confidence to Texans living with MS. Last year, the Lone Star Chapter MS Walk series raised more than $1 million to support research in fighting the effects of MS. More information about the walk and Clay's foundation is available at www.bandagainstms.org.
