June 28, 2007 — Troy and Angie Gentry, Eddie and Tracy Montgomery, Julie Roberts and her mom Sandra, Aaron and Thea Tippin and Lonestar's Dean Sams and Michael Britt are teaming up with top cake designers to create a cake that illustrates one of their hit songs.

The Celebrity Cake Decorating Competition, benefiting the T.J. Martell Foundation, will pair the artists and their baking partners with famed cake designers Michelle Bommarito, Martin Howard, Norman Davis, Lisa Rafael and Bronwen Weber.

The teams will compete in a three-hour timeframe to create the "ultimate country song" cake modeled after one of the artists' top hits. Two awards will be given: the Best of Show award, judged by members of the media, and the People's Choice Award, chosen by consumers picked from the crowd the day of the competition. The winning teams will each receive a stand mixer from KitchenAid.

The competition will take place July 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Tickets are $20 and are available from ticketmaster. The T.J. Martell Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports innovative research for leukemia, cancer and AIDS.
