June 28, 2007 The Grand Ole Opry will get a head start celebrating the Fourth of July with a Star Spangled Opry Signature Show next Tuesday, July 3. The show will feature uniquely American songs from Opry members, as well as special guests including Neal McCoy, Restless Heart, Jason Michael Carroll and Mandy Barnett.
The celebration will spill outside the Opry House with food and fun before the show, including a performance by the U.S. Naval Band Country Current. The show is available as one component of a special getaway package at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center; package details are available at opry.com.
The Opry's Summer Salute, which kicked off in May, will continue with a Soldier Salute at the Opry each week. Opry fans can visit opry.com to submit salutes to the soldiers close to them to be read live at Opry performances throughout the summer.
Special Opry values for military personnel with an Opry ticket order during the Summer Salute include a free family photo and concession item, a bonus coupon from the Opry Shop and the chance to win a backstage tour on the night of the visit. Military personnel should mention code MIL10X when making reservations.
