July 17, 2007 — Taylor Swift has surpassed the 20 million mark for music streams on MySpace.com, where she is consistently ranked country's No. 1 artist.

Taylor is currently ranked at No. 15 for the most MySpace page visits for all genres of music, ahead of such artists as Kelly Clarkson, Justin Timberlake and 50 Cent. She also has amassed more than 360,000 MySpace "friends."

Taylor recently told The Modesto Bee that she put a lot of thought into her MySpace page to make it a more personal experience for her fans. "I think MySpace has worked so well because I didn't want to make it like every other artist's page, with a third-person bio that was completely not personal," she said. "Instead of doing that, I wrote a first-person bio about what I like and dislike. It is about what I am as a person, not my accomplishments. It lets them in and lets them know it's me running it, not a company. I love the fact that people my age are paying attention to my music. I know how my friends and I look at music and address music — either they love something or don't like it at all.

Taylor's self-titled debut CD was released just last October, and her current single, "Teardrops On My Guitar," is at No. 5 and rising on the country radio charts, with more than 27 million audience impressions this week alone.

Taylor recently made country music history as the only female artist in country music ever to write or co-write every song on a platinum-selling debut. She is currently wrapping up a series of dates on Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's Soul2Soul 2007 tour before rejoining Brad Paisley's Bonfires & Amplifiers tour later this week.
